Snow!!!

Been awhile on my blog posting...

All week we have been expecting this huge ice storm. Of course with all the notice I figured Murphy's Law would kick in and barely give us anything. Well I was semi wrong. We didn't get a whole lot of ice but did get whole bunch of snow. Not sure when the last time we had this much snow. The kids loved it and I think this was the first Ryker actually got to play in any. Of course the bad news about it was we had a weekend planned in Texas for a derby bout in Dallas tonight. Needless to say it got cancelled. Boo. But it was nice to spend time with the family and get some sleep. Which I have been needing.

2009; A year in review

2009; A year in review
A day late but oh well.

What did you do in 2009 that you've never done before?
Honestly I can't think of anything.

Yes, Maggie! And several other friends.

shin splints, bruises, yadda yadda.

other than bills, probably derby stuff.

What did you get really, really, really excited about?
life in general

What scripture is a theme of 2009?
James 1: 2-4 "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." Same every year.

Compared to this time last year are you:
a. Happier or sadder? I am just as happy.
b. Thinner or fatter? The same size but shrinking...
c. Richer or poorer? same. But rich with blessings and family.
What do you wish you'd done more of?
Always spend more time with my family. And say no more.

What do you wish you'd done less of?
time on the computer. Putting more on my plate.

How did you spend Christmas?

It's ok to say no. Other people can step up too.

Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
"I'm in a hurry to get things done, I rush and rush until life's no fun. All I really gotta do is live and die, but I'm in a hurry and don't know why."
