Rt. 66 half

Completed half marathon #10 today. I'm currently shaking and shivering so much that I can barely type or talk. I'm in my hotel room in my bed trying to recoup. And this is after the hottest shower I could get. The first half was all right. The second half seemed to be steadily uphill and facing the wind the whole way even if it was just slightly. The course has slightly changed from what it used to be but it seems just as hilly in the second half. My time was about 2:18 something... considering I haven't ran in over a week that's not too terrible. I haven't ran very much at all since my last race. My lungs did fine but my knee paid the price. But I think it was the Hills. Have I ever said how much I hate running in the cold? My fingers are still frozen. Thank goodness for talk to type. Oh I did get two medals this time, that's a plus. I think I am done for awhile. This one kind of done me in. My job got zapped out of me somewhere. Time for maybe other fitness goals.

Professional business pics

An old derby mate that lives in Dallas came up here and took some professional pics that I was needing. I have admired her work from afar. So glad she could make it up this way.

XC State for Gage and Kieran

Both the bigs got All-State today. Gage got 19th out of 224, and Kieran got 7th out of 193. She was ranked 9th going in. Gage's team got 3rd overall and was ranked 5th going in. Conditions were muddy which slowed most down. Proud of them. This was Gage's final cross country race as a senior. Now for a rest before track starts.
