I missed International Women's day. But I want to give a huge shout-out to this woman. She labored all day yesterday, with only one hour of sleep, and gave birth with no intervention or pain meds to an 8 lb. 3 oz baby boy. Rowan Shepherd was 21 inches long and born at 9:45 pm. And Kieran was a rockstar the whole way, never losing her humor or grace.
They are asking for no visitors or calls for two weeks to acclimate as new parents. Who says this generation doesn't have good boundaries?
Thank God they are both healthy and doing well, but definitely need some rest.
