AIM Puzzle Run
We have been including our family in several AIM events over the past few months due to Ridlee. I love what this organization is doing for our local Families with children with ASD. They recently reignited the 5k puzzle run and this was our first year to race it. Weather was ideal. Gage got 3rd overall, Kieran 1st in her division, and I got 2nd in mine.

Gage's 18th birthday... he's an adult now!
I've officially raised one to adulthood. I can't believe that he's 18 today. I'm overly emotional today for sure. I'm glad he's still a senior. I feel bad for my parents as I turned 18 after I graduated and left for the NAVY shortly after. I couldn't do that right now. I might burst if I had to let him go that soon. Proud doesn't begin to cover what I feel for him. He even led and organized the first See you at the pole for his school today. While it was a small group, it had to start somewhere. He's lucky that his school is doing testing today and him being a senior he doesn't have to stay. So I will take him to lunch and hang out with him a bit. If you see him today, tell him happy birthday. And if you would like to donate to his St.Jude birthday fundraiser on Facebook that would be awesome. That was all his idea.
He could've gone anywhere for his birthday lunch and he picked Zaxby's.

Chili Pepper
Kieran ran in the 5k open at the Chili Pepper this morning, even against boys. She got a PR by over a minute and a half with a 22:05. This puts her time at being ranked 6th in the state for high school girls in her class. And technically she's still running Jr. High until state because she's a freshman. Every week she's getting better and better.

Ryker 12th birthday
12 years ago I woke up at 3:30 with a pain. At 4:56 am Ryker made his arrival, despite the nurses best attempts at slowing it. He took to everything just as fast. Even walked at 8 months, full on running at 9 months. Today he never enters his school without a book in hand. He's read more than me, despite myself actually enjoying it when I get the chance to. I have no doubt he knows more than me on many subjects. Happy birthday Ryker, love you!
Had to get creative with presents between the bigs practice and my scheduled evening sessions so we met at Brahm's in Bentonville.

More runs
Kieran did awesome at her recent Siloam Springs run and took a minute off her last race getting her 8th place. It was hot and the hills were awful.
I ran the Race for Hope benefiting the Women's Shelter in the heat late in the evening today and OMG it was awful. I still managed to place in the top 20. They had the best goodie bag.
