Gage's 20th Birthday

20 years old! The same age I was when I had him. Older officially than his dad was at the time. He's still a mellow goofball. He's living his best life studying to be a graphic designer and working at the skating rink. He's even working today on his birthday without a complaint. His sister is making his cake. I don't know how it's possible he's this old. Trust me when I say it flew by. Proud of this young man. Love you and happy birthday

I did a thing for me!

"Life can get overwhelming at times. The older I get, however, the more I realize I don't like to be idle. I also don't like to stop growing or challenging myself. This has made me stronger and more capable at dealing with all that is on my plate. I turned 40 just recently and one thing I promised myself this year is despite all that I do take on, I need to schedule in opportunities for self-love and care. This was such a perfect way to do that. I love getting to be a part of this amazing project with such strong, beautiful women each with fascinating backgrounds.

My story includes being married to my high school sweetheart for 21 years and together we have 5 awesome kiddos ages 6-almost 20. I have owned my own successful mental health private practice since 2011 and also recently started another business that offers a variety of services, with an emphasis on serving those with autism. This topic is very near and dear to my heart as my youngest has autism. After her diagnosis I threw myself into learning as much as I could about autism and became a Certified Autism Specialist. I am also somehow managing to work on an MBA with an emphasis in entrepreneurship in the midst of this already busy time of life. The balance is definitely a difficult one at times, but I know that it won't always be so and to take it all in while I can. Kids grow, life changes, only God is constant.

Ryker 14th Birthday

Happy 14th birthday to Ryker! Probably my quietest and most introspective child. Super smart, loves video games and teddy bears, and still won't let me cut his hair. Not much has changed since he was little. He's just bigger now. Love you and happy birthday!
