The Flu has hit!

Have I ever said how much I hate winter? Steven, Ridlee, Kieran, and Gage got the flu. With the help of elderberry, most symptoms have been less than 48 hours. I'm telling y'all it's a flu killer. Ridlee was doing better then went down hill, usually a sign more is happening. Sure enough... ear infection. I requested a shot since oral meds are a battle with her. It's nice I don't have to go fight to pick up a prescription. Would appreciate some prayers as she won't eat and I know she would feel better if she did, plus we could give her some ibuprofen if something is in her stomach.

Ridlee's new splinter skill!

Another day, another hint of what she's capable of. Thought she was just putting letters in some random order. But no, this is what's found on a keyboard. All off her memory. We were trying to see if something was lying around with a picture of it on there. There wasn't and she was doing this all without looking at anything. I don't even know this or could do this. I had to look to make sure she was correct. She's played a new educational app this week called abcya. A few games use the keyboard. I don't know if she has photographic memory or was able to memorize this in a week. Either way she is officially smarter than I. #RidleeEvangeline#autismawareness #aspergers

Homecoming game!

This was the first year to have an official homecoming game as the big's school just got a basketball team going this year. Remember it's still a relatively new school. Kieran was chosen as her grade's court representative. She acted silly as usual. Their school won their first game as well. It was a good game.

Almost there!

My reading just this past month. Only the tip of the iceberg of what I want to read. Will be testing soon to become a Certified Autism Specialist. And from there program creation on putting lots of ideas into play for this area. If you have suggestions send them my way. There's a reason I was chosen as her parent. She inspires me daily. All of my kiddos do.#findingmywhy #autismawareness #shesmyhero#theyallare #whatsyourwhy

Happy birthday Ridlee!

The amazing Ridlee Evangeline is 5 years old today. A lots happened in a year. A formal evaluation was done and she was given an ASD diagnoses, not surprisingly. The psychologist stated if the old Aspergers diagnosis was around, that's what she has. I've always said that she's atypical for even atypical. She's taught herself to read. She knows her addition and subtraction math up to 20. We've lost count of what she can count to. She draws people and makes all types of things with Play-Doh and clay. She can say almost anything, but you still can't figure out how her day was if you ask her. Pragmatics is getting a little bit better though. She was able to tell me and her daddy that she didn't want to leave the bed this morning. "I like the bed," she said. I don't blame her. She's like her mama and likes to sleep too. She's really only upset if she has a headache or some type of pain or is tired. She inspires me everyday to be a better person and mother. This is the first time in over 18 years that I have had a five year old and have not had a pregnancy or a baby. It's bittersweet. I can't wait to learn what she has to teach me. Happy birthday Ridlee, we love you!!

She got her own quiet cube and some comfy additions for it for her gifts. Loved the unicorn cake she got as well!

Her quiet cube, she actually got it a couple of days early.

We're going to jump at the Trampoline Park tomorrow morning for their Sensory Sunday!
