Creativity at its finest, through the eyes of an 8 year old...

Kieran's Trec (G&T) creative writing journal. Keep in mind she is 8. Interpreted... "I would catch a leprechaun by going to Ireland and being QUIET. (I don't think I would even be able to catch a leprechaun because I would possibly blink.) With the leprechaun I will torture him, just for the fun of it. Then I will do what ever it takes to lead me to his pot of gold! Mwa ha ha ha ha! And if he doesn't lead me I will destroy every other leprechaun! And then squeeze his guts out! Mwa ha ha ha ha!"

Hmmm, quite hilarious stuff there. Wonder if I should have her assessed for HI (homicidal ideation) towards leprechauns. Do I have a duty to warn here?

Very happy post. I am fitting into some of my 3's now! Total loss since starting watching what I ate equals about 10 pounds. 2.2 from this week alone! Doing the happy dance.

Belated Easter post and more Heston growing shots

New name on html...

Some may have noticed my address for my blog has changed from Alyssium.blogspot to Anatomyofexhaustion.blogspot. It's been a long time coming. Alyssium was a username I have used since high school and have not used in quite sometime. Seemed only fitting I actually switch the address to the name of the blog. Hope it doesn't confuse some that had it saved since the old address won't bring you here anymore. I tried to remember places I had it saved as the old name and hopefully I got them all, but who knows I probably missed it somewhere.

And here I thought I was done with school

I have made the decision to go back to my graduate Alma Mater to do post graduate work towards getting my certification in Play Therapy. Probably won't start until the Fall since I am paying for it out of pocket, no more loans for me.

I am already doing play therapy through my school based therapy position but would like to actually delve into it as much as I possibly can since they are now offering the program at JBU. They didn't have it when I went there before. Hopefully they touch on art therapy as well, since I am big into art. I am actually getting excited about more school. What's wrong with me?

Trucking along...

All is well in our neck of the woods. Heston is growing and the kids are healthy (knock on wood). Ryker had his kindergarten physical today. He is in 50% of height and 15-25% weight. Eyes and ears are good and he is able to write name and draw shapes. I love this pediatrician too. So glad we switched to her when Heston was born. She even gave him the talk of never letting anyone touch your privates and tested him about "what if someone tells you it will be fun and not to tell your parents". He of course answered the right way as we have the talk since I am super paranoid of this because of my work and what I see on a daily basis. But it was comforting to know that this was discussed and not brushed under the rug like many peds might do. I even said in front of her my other two kids' peds never asked that but I am so glad she does.

Work is going well. I am starting to get more and more busy with all my 3 jobs. School base caseload is officially full for the three days I am there. My contract job just got our yearly bid granted, which is awesome. I also have somewhat a waiting list for the contracts and private practice as my spots that I can do it is full for now.

On the weight loss front, I am officially below prepregnancy weight. I lost another 2 pounds this week, bring my total since I started counting points to 6 pounds. I have either been walking or running daily. I downloaded this GPS pedometer app which is really cool. My favorite app so far, it's like running on a treadmill because it tells you all calories burned and how far you go and how many steps it's been. And it was free. I don't pay for apps.

Weather is also awesome today. I wish it could be like this everyday.
