So proud!

I cannot tell you how proud I am of my home town today. A few women and children (how sad) from Westboro did show up today in protest. I wonder if these individuals or this church ever realizes that they are only creating the opposite affect then what they had intended. Their anger and hatred brought more people together and garnered more support from this town more than I have ever seen. Another ironic thought is these people have probably never won one person over to their side in the midst of their rants. They are failing themselves and their intended purpose yet God is still bringing out good in the situation. And I am pretty certain that they will think twice about coming to this town again for the same reason. Below are some pics of just a small amount of the support that was there. Pics are taken by my friend Shae Lenardo .

Apparently the motorcycles helped to drown out the protesters

Today was so moving words can't describe. The way the bell ringing would surge through my soul and consume me. To watch so many different types of people come together to for a bond on this issue was spectacular. This man deserves honor as do ALL our men and women in service. And for these people from that "church" to act as if God hates, is an abomination. God teaches Love over and over in the bible. Why would he hate any of us? Jesus loved all people including sinners, christians and many more.... Im proud to be part of our town taking a stand against false teachings and disrespect for our solders who so bravely sacrafice thereselves for our freedom and safetly. God Bless America. These pictures I took today will be burned in my mind forever and Im glad to have been there!.... Thank you, Shae

This week they were supposed to come up here to Michigan to protest at a soldier's funeral. They claimed that they are doing what God tells them....but then said they were trying to see if they could get an earlier flight since they would be protesting somewhere else the day before. Well....if you are truly doing what God wants...wouldn't he make it so you could get an earlier flight? They didn't show.
It was very moving to see the support one small city and surrounding communities had for one solider and his family.
