Graduation Day!!!

This day has been more than 3 years in the making. When I was in my undergrad in Oklahoma I had secretly hoped to find a gradate school that had a Marriage and Family Therapy program. When we moved to Arkansas for Steven to attend the University of Arkansas, I did so with no intention of actually thinking I would be so lucky as to find one for myself. A year up here while working at a Residential Treatment Center for adolescent sex offenders, I talked with a coworker who told me she was soon to apply to a program at John Brown University which has a dual program of Marriage and Family Therapy and Community Counseling. I jumped on it and soon took my MAT test to get accepted. Now 3 years later, that coworker is still my coworker at the Hospital I work at as well as one of my favored fellow Rollergirls, in fact the captain of the Killbillies. I seem to follow her everywhere she goes unintentionally.

I know graduation from any degree is special but this one is particularly special to me as I am the first in my family to complete a graduate degree. Except maybe a great great aunt or something or second cousin twice removed. You catch my drift. As far as further education, I would go for a PhD if someone were to pay for it. Otherwise, I have enough student loan debt to last the rest of my life.
